Who are we?
Royal Hoitsema Labels is the oldest printing works in the Netherlands and a leading player in high-quality label and packaging solutions. From Groningen we produce for customers worldwide on state-of-the-art machines. We are an organisation with a no-nonsense mentality, where we deal with one another informally.
Bringing the production of Royal Hoitsema and Scholma Print & Media together on one site has created an organisation with real ambition and room to grow. At the same time, that integration brings challenges in quality assurance, process optimisation and certification.
What will you be doing?
As QA Manager you are the point of contact for quality within our organisation. You play a key role in professionalising our quality organisation further and have a direct influence on processes, certifications and customer satisfaction. You work closely with production, suppliers and customers, and combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach. You report directly to the Managing Director.
In this role you will:
- Develop, implement and improve quality standards and processes.
- Coordinate and guide internal and external audits (ISO, BRC, FSC, etc.).
- Monitor and optimise production processes and quality guidelines.
- Analyse customer feedback and translate it into improvement actions.
- Manage and safeguard quality documentation and compliance.
- Maintain contact with customers and carry out tests (internationally as well).
Who are you?
You are a quality professional with a strong sense of responsibility. You move easily between strategy and day-to-day operations and know how to bring colleagues along in improvements. You are pragmatic, results-driven and at home in an environment where not everything has settled yet, where lines are short. You understand that lasting improvement calls for timing, support and the right balance between ambition and what is achievable. You step in where that is needed.
You also bring:
- A completed degree at university of applied sciences level (hbo), for example in Business Administration, Food Technology or Quality Management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in quality management and audits.
- Knowledge of BRC and ISO standards and of quality assurance (experience in the food and/or packaging industry is an advantage).
- Strong analytical ability and a solution-focused mindset.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with quality documentation and compliance.
- An excellent command of Dutch and English; German is an advantage.
